3 pack organic Lemmelkaffe

3 bags of organic dark roast kokkaffe (boiled coffee) made from 100% Arabica beans, from the Swedish brand Lemmelkaffe. A well-balanced dark roast coffee, best served by an open fire or in front of a crackling wood stove somewhere deep in the forest.

Organic KRAV-labelled coffee
The KRAV label means the kokkaffe is made from coffee beans that are grown without any artificial fertilisers or chemical pesticides. This means the kokkaffe tastes even better! Especially when made over an open fire.

Making coffee over an open fire
Kokkaffe is best made over an open fire, with water from a cool mountain stream. Making kokkaffe is somewhat of an art, but a small tip is to add a pinch of salt, or a piece or two of dried reindeer meat to enhance the flavour of the coffee.

The tale of Lemmelkaffe
Have you heard the tale of Lemmelkaffe? It’s a fascinating story about how the lemmings from Swedish Lapland travel all the way to Africa, pick a coffee bean each and bring it back to the Arctic Circle by drifting with the Gulf Stream. The lemmings then gently roast the beans to perfection with their own body heat. Until Lemmelkaffe founders Markus Lemke and Rolf Nylinder met them, the lemmings had always been seen as unfriendly, almost aggressive, little creatures. As it turns out, they’d just been trying to tell us about their dark roast kokkaffe all along, wanting to save us all from a world drowning in instant coffee, caffè lattes and macchiatos!
