Ami A- Margit brooch

Margit was my Grandmother's younger sister. She supported herself as a seamstress. As a child I spent a lot of time with my dear Grandmother at her summer cottage in the archipelago, where she was born. Often it was only the two of us and her sisters in their own cottages. Every afternoon Margit passed by on her way to the well to get water. The sisters sat on the porch and talked, that was the everyday routine after the weather report for seafarers on the radio. The arches on Margit the brooch reminds of a gingerbread cookie, just the size Grandmother made the most of. Combine with one of the brooches Olga or Lilja inside! 

This brooch are handmade by Ami Avellán Jewellery in Inari in northern Finland. They’re made with love and over 25 years of experience. Store the earrings in their original packaging to prevent tarnish.
